Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) Accomplishments 

• Three-time World Champion Saddle Bronc Rider 

• Qualified for the National Finals Rodeo 12 times 

• Twice voted Rodeo Man of the Year 

• Houston Rodeo “Lone Star Legend Award” 

• Original inductee into the Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame 

• Served as President of the Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association and interim commissioner 

• Served as Chairman of the Board for the Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association Properties 

• Served as Chairman of the Board for the Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame 

• Served as Chairman of the Board for the National Finals Rodeo Commission 

• Organized the Southern Idaho Junior Rodeo Association 

• Produced rodeos all over the world including: South America and Alaska Management of Rodeo Far West touring Europe 

• General Manager of Production for the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas for the past 26 years including coordinating television coverage both live and same-day taped delayed 

• Produced the Olympic Command Performance Rodeo as part of the Cultural Arts Festival for the 2002 Olympic Games in Salt Lake City, Utah 

• Produced a professional rodeo for President Ronald Reagan in Landover, Maryland, with 12,500 special invitation only guests followed by a dance and BBQ on the White House Lawn in Washington, D.C. 

• Produced the Tour Finales (up to three a year) as part of the PRCA’s ProRodeo Tour from 2000 – 2005. 

 

FEI World Cup Horse Show (1999, 2003, ’05, ’07, ’09, '15) 

Production Manager – Las Vegas, Nev. 

• This event included Dressage and Jumping with participants representing 24 countries including the United States 

• Had to set-up our own quarantine area and worked closely with the USDA to facilitate this. 

 

College of Southern Idaho Rodeo Coach (1977-2007), Twin Falls, Idaho 

• Head of the Equine Department 

• CSI Rodeo Team won three National Championship, winning the Men's Team National Championship and the Men's All Around Championship. They consistently place in the top three teams in the nation. They have won All Around, Bull Riding, Bareback, Steer Wrestling, and Saddle Bronc titles for the nation. 

• Sent rodeo students to participate in Europe and Brazil. Raised funds for team by producing boxing events on campus, rodeos and equine events throughout the Western U.S. including Alaska. 

 

National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association (NIRA) Accomplishments 

• National Intercollegiate Champion in Bareback Riding, Saddle Bronc Riding and All Around Champion 

• Reserve Bull Riding Champion 

• NIRA Board of Directors 

• Served as President of the NIRA 

• General Office of Production for the College National Finals Rodeo (CNFR) for 4 years 

• CNFR Television Coordinator
