Allred, Darl

Class of 2022

Darl’s dad used to catch and break wild mustangs and he started helping him at a young age. He started riding calfs and the age of 12. In High School Rodeo Darl competed in all three rough stock events and steer wrestling. October 2021 inducted into the PRCA original Wrangler Hall of Fame. 1983 and 1984 Wilderness Circuit Bullfighter. 1977 Saddle Bronc year end Champion for the Rocky Mountain Rodeo Association. Dixie College All-around Champion in 1970.
Attended Dixie College on a rodeo scholarship and won the year end champion and finals. Competed in open rodeos in both the Saddle Bronc and steer wrestling in the 1970’s. From 1973 until 1988 he rodeoed full time in the PRCA riding saddle bronc, steer wrestling and as a clown with acts. In 1983 he was selected to be a Wrangler Bullfighter.
He is currently an Associate Director on the Snake River Stampede board. Darl has supplied the bucking horses for the Women’s Bare Back and Jr. Rodeos. He has taught several Clown and Bullfighting schools throughout the country.
Darl owned and operated a packing and hunting business in the Sawtooth wilderness for over 35 years. He enjoys hunting with his two granddaughters. Darl also raised and trained spotted draft horses and enjoyed taking his teams and wagons to parades and rodeos.
