Class of 2024


Linda Richardson’s rodeo journey began in the 1950s with junior rodeo and has since become a distinguished and impactful career. Her involvement in the sport is marked by a broad range of achievements and contributions that make her a worthy candidate for the Idaho Rodeo Hall of Fame.

Throughout her career, Linda competed in various rodeo events, including barrels, poles, breakaway roping, steer daubing, team roping, goat tying, and cow riding. Her dedication to rodeo is reflected in her roles as a gold card member of both the Idaho Girls Rodeo Association (IGRA) and the Idaho Cowboys Association.

She also held prominent positions, serving as president and event director for IGRA, where she managed events such as team roping, breakaway roping, steer daubing, and goat tying.

Linda's influence extended beyond competition. She judged numerous queen contests and timed rodeos for 40 years. Additionally, she supported the rodeo community by providing cattle for events, offering notary stamp services for contestants, and lending her horse trailer for competitors traveling to major finals.
