Ridley, Buster

Class of 2023

Buster rodeo career began in high school where he competed in calf roping, team roping, steer wrestling, and bull riding. He was the district 2 Reserve All-Around Champion 1975 and 1976 which sent him to the National High School Finals both years. He won the Idaho state High School steer Wrestling Championship in 1976. In 1977 Buster became the ICA Rookie steer wrestling champion and went on to acquire many more steer wrestling titles in the ICA and EIRA. Buster qualified several times to the PRCA Wilderness Circuit in the steer wrestling. Buster was invited to the Coors World Finals Rodeo 3 times and left as the Champion Steer Wrestler twice. When not competing Buster could always be found behind the scenes, sorting calves/steers, opening a gate, or pushing a calf.
