Sandy McCleod

Class of 2020

His passion was team roping but he had great interest in all rodeo events and spent much of his life making each association he was involved with a better association for everyone. Sandy grew up ranching and was a cattleman first, he paid attention and got to know the port having Caldwell Night Rodeo and the Nampa Stampede in his backyard. Sandy team roped and calf roped during his college years and was hooked on rodeo from that point forward.
Sandy teamed roped in the Idaho Cowboys Association and soon he was the Team Roping Director for the ICA and later Vice President. He got very familiar with the rulebook and the association procedures. Sandy became very well respected on the board and was recognized with the Ivan Pollard award for outstanding dedication to the association.
