Sheri is a native of Idaho, born and raised in Kimberly. Her father, Everett Prescott, was one of the first cowboys in the Rodeo Cowboy Association (RCA). She was raised to work hard but have fun, on the road at rodeos, horseshow trails, camping, fishing, and hunting.

Sheri got involved with Miss Rodeo Idaho in 1978, where she’d spend 39 years, including with Miss Rodeo America Association. For six years she lived in Florida helping rebuild the Miss Rodeo Florida Association as president. Sheri is a gold member of Miss Rodeo America, Inc. and has served for over three decades on the Board of Directors, in various roles. True to Miss Rodeo Idaho’s mission, Sheri has helped lead the non-profit volunteer organization. Miss Rodeo Idaho pageants offer young women opportunities to promote Idaho, Pro Rodeo, Agriculture, Equine Activities, and the Western Way of Life. The women involved exemplify the highest levels of integrity and character. Sheri is proud of the hard work and dedication of all the volunteers over the past 63 years.

After 10 years of owning and operating three Western Wear stores, in 2000, Sheri changed careers and became a Real Estate Professional with Silvercreek Realty Group. In 2015, she was named the Caldwell Realtor of the Year.

Sheri is married to her Jim Arkoosh with two grown children, Jennifer in San Francisco, and her son Alex in Chicago. They were also blessed to host two Croatian brothers as exchange students. Vedran now lives and works in Sacramento, and Neven is now in Boise. Sheri and Jim live in Nampa, ID.
